If you wish to apply directly, you can do so through the <\/span>GPO website application<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0It is straightforward, but it is important to ensure that all of the information is accurate, as inaccurate information can disqualify the applicant. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Foreign Journalist Security Review<\/b><\/h4>\n

Security reviews are conducted prior to issuing an Israeli press office card for a foreign journalist. This is relatively simple for most applicants. It looks into the applicant\u2019s record to ensure that no crimes have been committed in Israel, the applicant never overstayed a visa or for any other reason faced deportation from Israel, and that the applicant is not employed by an enemy or hostile country. \u00a0Do note that there are cases where the GPO is willing to make exceptions, so it is helpful to apply or employ the services of an experienced law firm in the event the foreign journalist is concerned about meeting the criteria for the security review.<\/span><\/p>\n
